Ayesha Nickson, events programme manager at Dobbies, said: “Mother’s Day is a special day for many of our customers, and we love being part of the celebration.
“Our two Mother’s Day experiences at the Braehead store are the perfect way to spend quality time together.
“The Mother’s Day Planted Wreath Workshop is a brand-new event for this year and, with the option to add on an afternoon tea, this is a great way to show the mother figure in your life just how much you care.”
The event is designed to give families the chance to spend meaningful time together while enjoying a creative activity.
It includes a demonstration by Dobbies’ Green Team on how to make a planted hanging wreath using a metal frame and a variety of seasonal plants.
Attendees will then be able to create their own arrangement to take home and add to their own space.
The wreaths can be updated throughout the year with different seasonal plants.
The workshop is priced at £37.50 per person, with the option to add on Dobbies’ Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea for £22.50.
The afternoon tea can also be booked separately and will be available from Friday, March 13 to Monday, March 16.
Dobbies’ Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea includes three tiers of sweet and savoury treats, plus unlimited tea and coffee.
The menu features finger sandwiches with classic fillings such as smoked Scottish salmon and cream cheese, free-range egg and cress, chicken and bacon, and honey-glazed ham and tomato.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a duo of Dobbies’ famous fruit and plain scones, served with Cornish clotted cream and a pot of jam, along with a patisserie selection that includes a raspberry cheesecake, chocolate ganache slice and a rosewater layer cake.
