A corn snake has been found in Paisley.

The reptile was discovered on Monday afternoon in Brody Park and handed in to Pro Exotics on Causeyside Street at about 1.30pm.

It is unclear whether the animal was abandoned or escaped before it was found by a local in the area.

Staff at the business are keen to see the snake reunited with its owner and they are encouraging anyone with information to reach out.

Proof of ownership will be required upon collection.
