A Paisley woman could be facing jail time after assaulting a cop and being caught with a knife.
Shauna McLeod was granted bail on October 2, 2024 at Paisley Sheriff Court with conditions not to approach or contact Caitlyn McLean.
However, McLeod breached this condition on August 23, last year by being in the woman’s company.
When McLeod of Caledonia Street was arrested the following day, she assaulted a female police officer by kicking her.
Earlier that day, the 42-year-old was also caught with a “large kitchen knife” in the common close of a flat block in Caledonia Street.

Procurator fiscal depute Ms Collins today told Paisley Sheriff Court: “On August 23, Ms McLean was planning on staying at the accused’s home that evening.
“A conversation arose regarding their relationship and to avoid any escalation Ms McLean chose to leave.
“On August 25, the accused was arrested and in the process of that arrest, she lashed out kicking PC Rhona Coyle to the wrist.
“It was later identified by police that a witness had CCTV footage of the accused within the common close of a property in Caledonia Street, in possession of a knife, a large kitchen knife.”
Defence agent Paul Lynch told the town’s court McLeod received a jail sentence last year.
He also explained how she has been “abstinent of alcohol” since her release.
Sheriff Thomas Ward stated: “My first inclination was to send back to jail.
“You might still be going there if you haven’t been of good behaviour since you got released from jail last year, there might be an alternative, we will see what the reports say.”
Sentence was adjourned for the preparation of a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment until April 2.
McLeod’s bail was continued meantime.
