A community health charity has named its new chief executive.
Sarah Hand has taken up the post at Active Communities, based at Station Seven in Johnstone.
She brings more than 20 years of experience in health, community development and the voluntary sector, including senior roles in the NHS and international charities.
Most recently, Sarah served as chief executive of Avert, a UK-based, internationally digital health organisation focused on HIV and sexual health.

Over an eleven-year period, she led strategy, partnerships and organisational development.
Her wide-ranging experience includes frontline health services, community-based programmes, behaviour change communication, and strategic leadership across the voluntary sector.
Commenting on her new appointment, Sarah said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Active Communities.
"I have been hugely impressed by the dedication of the staff and volunteers and by the warmth and energy of the community here at Station Seven."
Active Communities delivers a variety of programmes supporting health, wellbeing and social connection across Renfrewshire.
Its services include family and early years support, community meals, food support, physical activity and social groups.
Sarah said: "Active Communities plays a vital role in supporting people across Renfrewshire to improve their health, wellbeing, aspirations and sense of connection.
"I’m excited to work alongside the team, our partners and the wider community to build on the organisation’s strong foundations and continue to grow its impact."

Susie Patterson, chair of the board of trustees, expressed her excitement about the new appointment.
