Braehead's Primark store completes major refurbishment

Following upgrades which began last July, the shop now features a modern look and updated layout following more than six months of improvements.

The refreshed shop includes 36 new self-checkouts and 16 staffed tills, offering a faster, more flexible payment experience.

Covering 64,645 sq. ft, the store stocks fashion, beauty, holiday items and homeware, and also offers Primark’s Click & Collect service.

Derek Cooke, store manager at Primark Braehead, said: "I am incredibly grateful for the investment in our store as it’s made such a difference already by enhancing our customer and colleague experience.

"I want to say a huge thank you to my hard-working team and all our local customers who have been patient with us whilst we’ve completed these in-store upgrades over many months now – but I’m confident everyone can now see it really was worth the wait.

"We’re all looking forward to having an even more positive impact on the local Braehead community moving forward."

It relocated to its current site within the shopping centre in 2010 and now employs 272 retail colleagues. 

Ashley Bisland, centre director at Braehead Shopping Centre, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome visitors to the newly refurbished Primark store at Braehead.

"With more improved facilities, larger space and fresh layout, it’s a shopping experience designed for today’s busy lifestyles.
