A major airline has issued an urgent warning to passengers over flight cancellations amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
British Airways confirmed it has had to temporarily reduce its flying schedule in the region due to “the continuing uncertainty of the situation” and airspace instability.
As such, the travel operator has pulled all of its flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Tel Aviv until “later this month”.
BA has also axed its services to and from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), until “later this year”.
The company notes that it is constantly reviewing the situation and it will be in touch with affected customers.
BA went on to note that it has limited seats remaining on its repatriation flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow on March 11 and March 12 for customers who have an existing booking.
Additionally, the firm says it has been in touch with passengers who it believes continue to be in the UAE to offer them support and options for travelling to the UK.

A statement published to BA’s X [formerly Twitter] account reads: “Due to the continuing uncertainty of the situation in the Middle East and airspace instability, we’ve had to temporarily reduce our flying schedule in the region.
“We’ve cancelled all flights to and from Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, and Tel Aviv until later this month and to and from Abu Dhabi until later this year.
“We’re keeping the situation under constant review and are in touch with our customers to offer them a range of options.
“We have limited seats remaining on our repatriation flights from Oman (Muscat) to London Heathrow on March 11 and 12 for customers with an existing booking.
“Customers who, in line with FCDO guidance, judge that they can safely make their own way to Muscat, should contact us on +44 203 467 3854 to book onto one of these services.”
It added: “We’re in touch with customers who we believe continue to be in the UAE to support them and provide options for travel to the UK.
“We’re asking customers who’ve made alternative arrangements to let us know.”

It comes after we reported earlier this month that Emirates’ Dubai service from Glasgow Airport remained disrupted despite the airline announcing a limited resumption of flights.
On March 2, the airline announced it would begin operating a reduced schedule from that evening following the temporary partial closure of UAE airspace amid the conflict.
However, according to live air traffic data from FlightRadar24, an Emirates flight leaving from the city heading to Dubai on March 3 was cancelled.
At the time, the company stated that the safety and security of passengers and crew remained its highest priority.
