A Scottish music legend has been spotted enjoying a visit to one of Renfrewshire’s best-loved pie shops.

Former Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow dropped into Paisley Pie Co, much to the delight of staff and customers.

The Paisley business shared their excitement on social media, posting a photo of Marti inside the shop and celebrating the surprise visit. Fans were quick to flock to the comments, with one joking: “What did he buy… is it a ‘Sweet Little Mystery’?”

Another quipped: “I’ll get Pie with a little help from a friend,” in a playful nod to the singer’s musical roots.

Marti, who shot to fame with Wet Wet Wet in the 1980s, appeared relaxed and smiling during his visit, as staff hailed the moment as a memorable day for the Paisley favourite.

We previously reported on Paisley Pie Co’s inventive creations, including their viral foot-long doner roll – a sausage roll packed with doner meat and spicy in-house sauce that sent social media into a frenzy.

The business has also gained attention for its off-the-wall pies, from a chicken and pepperoni pizza pie to one packed with lasagne, helping cement its reputation as one of Renfrewshire’s most talked-about food spots.
