Police have seized drugs in Renfrew during patrols.

Cops were monitoring areas of the town on April 10 to "provide reassurance" in public spaces.

Two people were reported for drugs offences after being stopped.

A statement on social media read: "The Renfrewshire Community Policing Team were carrying out cycle patrols in the Renfrew area on April 10.

"As a direct result of these patrols 2 persons have been reported for drugs offences.

"Community Officers regularly carry out cycle patrols on the cycle paths and public spaces throughout Renfrewshire, providing reassurance to and engaging with members of the public.
