People in Renfrewshire are being urged to support local businesses during Scotland Loves Local Week 2026.

The initiative, running between June 13 to 20, invites residents to celebrate the people, businesses, and initiatives that help communities thrive.

This year's theme, flying the flag for local businesses, has been chosen to coincide with activity as the country rallies behind Scotland in the World Cup.

The campaign will use social media campaigning, political visits, and other events to highlight the transformational difference of choosing local.

Businesses and community groups across Renfrewshire are being urged to take part - as they have in previous years - and help to celebrate what makes their communities unique.

The campaign, organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, aims to build stronger, more sustainable futures for the community by supporting regional businesses, potentially injecting millions of pounds into local economies.
