A youth theatre company has unveiled its 2026 summer programme, offering a variety of performance experiences.

PACE has unveiled its popular Fest! programme, featuring a range of in-person activities for young people aged one to 21-years-old.

It includes a variety of performance courses in classic and contemporary theatre, including devising, physical theatre, comedy, and musicals, catering to the interests of all young performers.

Every year, more than 800 young people join the programme, exploring their creativity, building confidence, making new friendships, and learning new skills.

Some of the highlights this summer include new interpretations of classic texts like Antigone and Swallows and Amazons.

There will also be comedies such as Traitors, Strictly Come Dying and Lord of the Pies, as well as musicals like Moana, High School Musical and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The programme will deliver a variety of musical showcases and celebrations of classic stories like Alice and Pinocchio, alongside new original stories including The Dragon Who Couldnae Fly.

Pre-schoolers will have  first performance opportunities in Little Stars, Big Stage for ages 3-5, or garden storytelling sessions with sensory play Little Lantern Tales.

This year's programme, running until August 16,  will mark the first events to take place in the company's new venue, Kiln Creative Learning Hub on Seedhill Road.

The fully accessible venue offers an in-house café and convenient parking.

The Green Room, featuring wrap-around sessions, will also be reintroduced to accommodate varied schedules.

Almost all events start at 10am and finish at 4pm, with the Green Room offering a flexible space for participants to hang out around these times and participate in supervised fun arts and crafts, drama games and other activities.

The Green Room, open from 8.30am - 10am and 4pm - 5.30pm on Monday to Friday for Fest participants aged 5-11, is bookable as an add-on via the event page.

PACE funding ensures that financial difficulties don't hinder participation with concessionary places are available for all of their activities, for children who might otherwise be unable to attend.

The complete programme is accessible on their website at www.pacetheatre.com/fest.
