A group of Paisley mums raised more than £6000 through music.

The Sing Out Sisters brought in the funds through two concerts held earlier this month, with funds going to Renfrew Women’s Aid and Finding Your Feet.

Both concerts were sold out with audiences even giving a standing ovation on the closing night.

The Sing Out Sisters was formed after the mums met through their children’s primary school and became friends.

They now meet for 90 minutes every Monday to sing and catch up.

A spokesperson for the group said: "What we achieve is greater than the sum of the parts.

"We can all sing on our own at home, in the shower or in the car but when we come together there is something really special about that feeling of when all our voices join together and we nail the song.

"This is where we find something for ourselves – a lift, a smile and a little strength restored."

Now in its fith year, the group began performing in 2022 and has since raised more than £21,000 for local charities.

The Sing Out Sisters credits local businesses for their consistent support, especially through raffle prize donations.
