Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has secured planning approval for its final development of new homes.

Renfrewshire Council has approved the homebuilder’s AMSC planning application for 315 properties in Dargavel Village in Bishopton, marking the conclusion of Taylor Wimpey's more than 15-year involvement in the development.

Martin Findlay, technical director at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: "We are delighted that our AMSC application has been approved, marking an important milestone and reflecting more than 15 years of commitment to this new and vibrant Renfrewshire community since the first Planning Permission in Principle was granted in 2011.

"We are incredibly proud of our key role in delivering the Dargavel Village masterplan."

The new development will offer a mix of three, four and five-bedroom homes.

Of the 315 properties, 257 are from Taylor Wimpey’s new national range, while 58 will be part of its Caledonian Collection.

Construction is expected to begin in the coming months, subject to final technical permissions being agreed.

Martin said: "This final development will complete our contribution with a well-connected, sustainable community that provides high-quality new homes while enhancing the local environment and supporting long-term growth.

"We look forward to starting construction in the coming months and continuing our positive relationship with Renfrewshire Council and the local community."

All homes will feature air source heat pumps as part of a sustainable heating strategy.

Additional environmental features will include hedgehog highways, bug hotels, bird boxes and bee bricks to support local wildlife.

The development will include accessible footpath connections to the wider Dargavel Village area, with Arrochar Drive transitioning from Craigton Drive.

New residents will benefit from close access to the recently opened Central Park, the village centre and transport links such as the Bishopton Train Station park-and-ride and the M8 motorway junction.
