A young Paisley man is in hospital after a tragic accident while on holiday with his friends.
Zak Mcgowan, 21, was on holiday for a music festival in Malta with his pals.
However, on the last night of the trip things took a tragic turn when he fell from a six-storey building.
Zak, who is currently sedated in hospital, sustained head injuries, a fractured spine and several broken bones.
His mum Carrie-Ann, her dad Johnny and Zak's dad John Mcgowan managed to grab the next available flight to Malta and arrived at around 11.30am the following morning.

The family remain in the country, and a friend has now set up a GoFundMe to support them with medical and accommodation costs.
The fundraiser is currently at over £10,000 at the time of writing.
A statement read: "My name is Louise. With the permission from Zak’s mum Carrie-Anne ,and his dad John, I have set this up to support them at this very worrying time.
"Please all help with what you can.
"Zak is 21, he came on holiday with five of his friends. This was not his first time in Malta with them as he likes it here.
"Sadly on May 24, 2026, at 9pm, Zak is in intensive care after falling from a six-story rooftop building whilst on holiday with his pals.
"He has shattered and fractured a lot of bones and has severe brain swelling.
"The doctors are optimistic, but we need to wait on his brain swelling settling down to determine if there will be permanent brain damage, and until the swelling goes down, they don’t have the ability to operate on his other wounds.
"We are in Malta now, where this happened, and it seems we will be here for several weeks.
"All prayers, happy vibes and beautiful stories, please, of our boy, and most importantly, at this time we need prayers."
