RSPB Lochwinnoch is offering a range of activities for children, adults and wildlife enthusiasts over the summer months.

Young adventurers can hire Young Explorers Backpacks, containing binoculars, a magnifying glass, a bug pot and a wildlife-spotting sheet for a £3 fee.

These are available daily and can be booked by contacting the reserve.

For a self-led adventure, children can take part in the Summer Scavenger Hunt throughout June, allowing them the chance to enhance their wildlife spotting skills and see how many creatures they can find.

During July, there will be the chance to take part in the Wind in the Willows Adventure, where they can help Mole find his friends.

Meanwhile, throughout August, kids can participate in the Wild Superpowers challenge, where they can explore the park learning about animal survival skills like night vision and camouflage.

Activity packs for each activity cost £4.50, with activities running from 10am to 4pm.

The reserve is also offering nature lovers of all ages a chance to deepen their knowledge of the park's unique flora in a Guided Botany and Wildflower Walk on Saturday, July 26.

The walk, which costs between £10 and £12.50, will take place from 1pm to 3pm.

For budding photographers, the reserve is running beginners' photography workshops on July 19 and August 9.

Led by amateur photographer Ken Ramsay, the workshops are designed for those using DSLR or mirrorless cameras and cost between £25 and £30.

For those more interested in bats, an enchanting Bat Walk will be happening at RSPB Lochwinnoch on August 20 from 9pm to 10.15pm.

Participants will have the chance to use handheld bat detectors to listen for bat echolocation calls.

Youngsters can also enjoy summer explorer backpacks filled with binoculars, a magnifying glass, a bug pot and a wildlife spotting sheet, which are available for hire at £3 a day.
