Hundreds of classic cars are set to go on display at a community motoring event this month.

Chrome 'n' Classics will take place on Saturday, June 27 from 11am to 3pm at GRID Braehead and is expected to attract between 200 and 250 vehicles.

Hosted by Lanarkshire Classic Car Club, it will feature a wide range of vintage vehicles, including early classics, American models, modern favourites, and custom builds.

Visitors will have the chance to admire the vehicles and chat with their owners and fellow enthusiasts.

The event supports Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS), with all vehicle display donations going directly to the charity.

Over the past seven years, Lanarkshire Classic Car Club has raised more than £30,000 for CHAS through its events, monthly Breakfast Meets, and other fundraising activities.

Kenny Moffat, Lanarkshire Classic Car Club president, said: "We're delighted to be back at GRID Braehead and welcome car enthusiasts from across Scotland.

"Visitors will be able to enjoy everything from vintage classics and American cars to modern classics and unique custom builds.

"Most importantly, the event helps raise valuable funds for CHAS, and we're incredibly proud that our club has raised more than £30,000 for the charity over the years."

To take part and display a vehicle, participants simply need to arrive on the day and contribute to the club’s charity collection bucket.

A series of awards will be presented throughout the day, with categories including Best Show 'n' Shine, Best Restoration, Best American/Custom, Best Classic Car, and the Public’s Choice Award.

Visitors can also enjoy the popular Makers Market at GRID Braehead, which will feature independent traders, artisan producers, and handcrafted goods from local makers.

Bruce Harley, centre manager at GRID Braehead, said: "We're excited to welcome Chrome 'n' Classics back to GRID Braehead this June.

"The event brings together fantastic vehicles, passionate enthusiasts and the wider community, creating a great family day out.

"Combined with our Makers Market and the wide range of dining and leisure experiences available at GRID, it's set to be a brilliant day for our visitors."
