A father and son who tried to smuggle £900,000 of cannabis into Scotland are behind bars.

Stephen Harding, 67, and Bradley Harding, 37, were stopped at Glasgow Airport by Border Force officials on November 23, 2024.

The pair - who had travelled from Thailand - had four cases between them.

The luggage was checked, and the dad was asked if he knew what was inside.

He replied: "I have a good idea."

The High Court in Glasgow today heard there were dozens of vacuum-sealed packages of green herbal material stashed inside the cases.

Prosecutor Jennifer Nicholson-White said the potential value of the huge drug haul was more than £903,000.

The Hardings, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, today pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

The dad was remanded in custody. Bradley is already serving a sentence in an unrelated case.

Lord Scott deferred sentencing until next month for reports.
