Athletes arriving in Scotland for the Commonwealth Games, with a number of them flying into Glasgow Airport.

A bagpiper, Highland dancers, and the 2026 event mascot Finnie were there to welcome the first international competitors arriving on Monday.

Athletes from Australia and Brunei were among those spotted jetting in.

The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games take place from Thursday 23 July to Sunday 2 August at four venues across the city.

There is also a fan zone at Kelvingrove Park.

More than 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories will compete across 10 sports and six Para sports at the event.
