A long-standing Renfrewshire nursery has earned high praise following a recent inspection.
Gryffe Manor Nursery in Houston received a Grade 5 ‘very good’ rating across all categories during a recent inspection, celebrating its 34th year of serving families in the area.
The facility, which supports 92 children per day aged between six months and five years, was commended by inspectors for its nurturing environment, strong leadership, and high-quality early learning experiences.
Alison Thomson, nursery manager, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved a Grade 5 – Very Good across all key areas of the inspection.
"This result reflects the dedication, professionalism and passion of our entire team, who work tirelessly to ensure every child feels valued, supported and inspired in their learning.

The inspection report awarded the nursery top marks in four key areas, including Leadership; Children Are Supported to Achieve; Children Thrive in High‑Quality Spaces; and Children Play and Learn.
Inspectors also praised the team for their nurturing approach, effective leadership, and commitment to creating an inspiring setting where children can thrive.
The result builds on the nursery’s strong reputation for child-centred care and long-standing partnerships with families.
Parents responded with an outpouring of positive feedback, expressing pride in the nursery’s achievement and gratitude for the care their children receive.
