A young Glasgow man has been fined after punching the doors of a Paisley flat.

Boozed-up Harris Cunningham admitted he caused “fear or alarm” on February 13.

The 20-year-old turned up at a flat in Paisley’s Netherhill Crescent while “heavily intoxicated” and repeatedly shouted, swore and punched the front door.

Defence agent Mr Docherty told Paisley Sheriff Court his client is “remorseful and accepts responsibility.”

Sheriff Gillian Craig stated: “You’re a young man and this particular event seemed to be fuelled by alcohol, immaturity and emotions.”

Cunningham, of Oliphant Crescent, was fined £270 and ordered to pay this at the rate of £40 per week.

A non-harassment was not made.
