A much-loved Glasgow cafe is set to open a new spot at Braehead Shopping Centre.

Scran+ Roadie will launch its second venue inside SuperPark Glasgow at the site.

The business will provide one of the food options at the activity park designed for families and powered by movement-based games and activities.

Chris Mears, owner of Scran+ Roadie, said: "What an opportunity for us to provide the food and drink offering at this incredible new SuperPark, which Glasgow is fortunate to be getting before any other city in the UK.

"We’d like to thank all our existing loyal customers in Glasgow for helping us build the Scran+ Roadie brand, which has created its own distinctive style over the past eight years.

"We give you dishes that you know and love.

"We're putting all of this, and more, into this new second venue.

"Too often cafes in family visitor attractions fall short of expectations.

"This won't happen here.

"Enjoying the food in the café is an important part of the overall SuperPark experience.

"We can’t wait to deliver this venue and find out what Glaswegian families think of our SuperHeroes Menu, it’s going to be amazing."

The Saltmarket brunch spot has been a staple of Glasgow’s café scene for the past eight years.

The new Scran+ Roadie location will seat 80 diners and include a bakery and mezzanine floor overlooking the Clyde.

A dedicated children’s menu, “SuperPark SuperHeroes,” will feature freshly made pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, homemade granola, pizza slices, and chicken tenders.

The menu also includes blueberry slushies, described as a healthy nod to SuperPark’s signature purple branding and Finnish roots.

The adult menu will carry over favourites from the Saltmarket café, including Eggs Stornoway, shawarma wraps, and New York–style pizzas.

Freshly baked cakes and sourdough bread will be baked in-house by the Qurious Baker, and coffee will come from The Roasting Project.

Mears continued: "If you are celebrating a special occasion or coming to SuperPark Glasgow in a larger group, we will be offering our popular Party Platters, just as we do at our Saltmarket Café."

Jonathan Doherty, managing director of SuperPark Glasgow, added: "Scran+ Roadie is the ideal partner to provide a quality dining experience at SuperPark Glasgow.

"It’s a brand that has a fantastic reputation for value for money, for quality, and, as Chris says, for providing food that everybody enjoys.

"This new restaurant will be a beautiful space where you can refresh and refuel after all the fun of SuperPark."

SuperPark opens to the public on August 29.
