A Scottie-themed arts and crafts weekend at Braehead set to offer fun, colour, and creativity for the whole family.

The free event will take place on the lower level near M&S at Frasers Plus Braehead on August 8 and 9, from 10am to 6pm, as part of the Scottie in the City campaign in aid of cancer charity Maggie's.

Visitors can take part in a range of Scottie dog arts and crafts activities, including designing a Scottie tote bag for a £3 donation to Maggie's.

All proceeds from the tote bag activity will go directly to the charity, which provides free practical, emotional, and psychological support to people living with cancer and their loved ones.

On Sunday, August 9, from 11am to 12pm, visitors will also have the chance to meet artist Jenni Sheward, who created Frasers Plus Braehead's Flowers O'Scotland Scottie sculpture.

Jenni will host a special creative session and share the inspiration behind her design.

Ashley Bisland, centre director at Frasers Plus Braehead, said: "Supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do, and we're proud to be playing our part in Scottie in the City while raising vital funds for Maggie's.

"This event is a fantastic opportunity to bring families together during the summer holidays, encouraging creativity while supporting an incredible cause.

"Maggie's provides invaluable support to people and families affected by cancer, and we're delighted to help raise awareness and funds through a fun, community-focused event.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors across the weekend and hope they'll enjoy getting involved while making a meaningful difference."

The arts and crafts weekend is part of Frasers Plus Braehead's involvement in Scottie in the City, Greater Glasgow's vibrant public art trail celebrating the iconic Scottie dog while raising funds for Maggie's.
