A new cake design competition is giving one budding baker the chance to see their dream creation brought to life.

The Little Bakers Awards 2026, launched by Cake Box, invites children aged four to 11 in Paisley to design their ultimate celebration cake, with the winning entry set to be transformed into a real cake by the company's bakers.

The winner will also receive a cake decorating experience, meet the Cake Box team, and take home a party bundle to celebrate with friends and family.

Five regional runners-up from Scotland, Ireland, Wales, the Midlands, and England will also receive a party bundle.

Sukh Chamdal, chief executive of Cake Box, said: "Some of the best cake ideas come from children, because they are never afraid to be bold, colourful or completely unexpected.

"We want our Little Bakers to let their imaginations run wild and create the cake they would most love to see in a Cake Box window.

"We cannot wait to see the designs that come through the Paisley Cake Box doors and bring one talented young baker's creation to life."

Participants can pick up design sheets from the Cake Box store in Paisley or download them from the Cake Box website.

Entries must be returned to the Cake Box store by Monday, August 31.

For more information or to find your nearest store, visit the Cake Box website.

The winner will be announced in September, alongside the five regional runners-up.
