A Renfrewshire dad says having his daughter was a 'wake up call' to get in shape - and now he wants to help others change their lifestyle.
Marc Bromwich admits he was overweight, drinking too much and heavily smoking before he had his little girl.
The now 40-year-old of how his reflection on life and the desire to spend as much time with his daughter as possible led to the transformation of his lifestyle, which he is now on a mission to share with others.

Marc said: "I was overweight, drinking too much, smoking about 20 a day and then we had our daughter and I kind of got in touch with my own mortality, realized that leading that lifestyle wasn't really going to get me anywhere.
"There was just one night where I was getting chest pains, I was not even 30. We had to get an ambulance out and that's when I thought something's got to change here. If anything happens to me right now, she's never going to remember me.
"I took up running and went from not being able to run for two minutes and then last year I represented Scotland in the ultra-marathon scene."
Marc has now founded Dargavel and Bishopton Run Club (DBRC) offering beginners programmes to get into fitness as well as regular sessions for experienced runners to expand their training.

A key part of the club will be Marc's nine week 'Couch to 5k' session which aims to get beginners to running five kilometres in a little over two months.

After turning his own life around, Marc hopes he use his experience to help others.
He said: "I've lived the story of not being able to run - to getting to the level that I got to. Throughout the last 10 years I've worked with many people who have coached me and many running clubs, so I have picked up a lot of knowledge.
"I did my running coach qualification and then realized that everything that I've been through I can now pass on to other people
"It's something I wanted to do for a while but I needed the right space to do it in."
