A Scots singer has revealed he is best pals with a Paisley songwriter years after being wowed by him on TV.

Callum Beatie shared a video to social media where he sat alongside David Sneddon, who won the first series of BBC One music competition Fame Academy.

Sneddon has went on to become a renowned singer, songwriter and producer of contemporary pop music.

Taking to TikTok, Beattie said: "Incredible to think I was a wee boy watching the TV twenty years ago thinking wow I want to do that and be like him.

"20 years later we're best pals."

Delighted fans took to the comments to share their delight at seeing the unlikely friendship.
