A tenant-led review has led to a housing association revamping how it manages empty properties.
Bridgewater Housing Association has approved a revised Void Management Policy following a review by its Service Improvement Group (SIG), made up of tenants who scrutinise services and recommend improvements.
The group examined the process from when a property becomes vacant to the start of a new tenancy and introduced a new Lettable Standard that defines the condition tenants can expect when moving in.

"The new Lettable Standard provides greater clarity and consistency, helping customers understand exactly what they can expect when moving into a Bridgewater home."
The revised policy aims to improve transparency and communication for customers while supporting the efficient turnaround of empty homes.
