DRIVERS should be aware of disruption on the A737, to the rear of the former Merchiston Hospital.
Diversions will be in place on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9 in Linwood to allow emergency electricity works.
In order to carry out the urgent repair to a 33,000 volt underground electricity cable, SP Energy Networks is required to close one lane of the A737.
The company has been in contact with Renfrewshire Council to arrange for the work to take place.
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “We apologise for any inconvenience that our work will cause.
"It is important that we fix the fault as quickly as possible to ensure that power supplies in the area remain secure.
"No properties are currently off supply and the completion of this work will guarantee the continued reliability of power supplies for thousands of local homes and business.
"We will work as quickly as possible on the repairs to ensure that any inconvenience is kept to a minimum.”
