MEMBERS of the Linwood Community Development Trust have invited the public to have a say on the future of a £2.4m community project.

The group has bought land at Mossedge Village to develop much-needed facilities that will be managed and run ‘for the community, by the community.’

A total of £1.4million has been raised so far and the trust will be submitting an application for a further £1m to Big Lottery Scotland this month.

If the lottery application is successful, it will pay for a full-sized all-weather football pitch and a community facility.

The trust has appointed GVA, an independent commercial property agency, to get the project under way.

The community consultation takes place on Saturday at Linwood’s Tweedie Hall.

Doors open at 12.30pm, with a presentation starting at 1pm.
