PLAYTIME has never been more fun in Houston.
And it’s all thanks to the Houston Toddler and Baby Group, which stages weekly gatherings at the West Hall, in the village’s Main Street.
Little ones and their parents go along each Thursday morning to spend time with friends old and new.
Around 40 children, ranging from birth to four years, are able to play together at the fun sessions.
Youngsters can play with a selection of toys and games, as well as tucking into some healthy snacks.
And it’s also a chance for the grown-ups to enjoy a chat over a cuppa.
As an added bonus, there are special events, theme days and social nights to take part in.
Lesley Jackson, who runs the Houston sessions, said: “It is a great way for children and their parents to come together for a social event.
“Some of the older children are able to make friends before moving onto primary school.
“There are toys for the kids to play with and craft sessions, with a song at the end.”
The group is now gearing up for a ‘spook-tacular’ event to celebrate Hallowe’en.
Lesley added: “That event will be on Thursday, October 26, when the children will dress up and enjoy themed games and food.”
The cost for attending the Houston Toddler and Baby Group is £2 per session.
This includes a drink and a snack for the children, as well as a hot drink and a biscuit for the grown-ups.
Anyone who would like to join the group should head along to the West Hall at 9.30am on a Thursday.
