A RENFREWSHIRE man at the helm of an historic publication is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
The Scottish Farmer – a sister paper of The Gazette – is one of the oldest publications of its type in the world.
It has been campaigning on behalf of farmers since 1893.
Ken Fletcher, who grew up in Houston and now lives in Bishopton, took over as editor last year. He is only the sixth person to lead the publication in its 125-year history.
Mr Fletcher said: “The Scottish Farmer acts as a record for the Scottish farming industry.
“Through the last decade, the print publication has become part of a multi-media environment and is supported with an informative, award-winning website which offers a variety of modern packages, including news and e-edition apps to fit with our readers’ needs.”
