FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Rolls Royce plant yesterday to deal with a chemical leak.
The incicent happened just after 10.30am at the site in River Drive, Inchinnan.
There were no casualties.
It is believed the chemical was a highly corrosive hydrochloric acid which had escaped from a tanker.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 10.42am on Wednesday, February 7, to reports of a chemical leak at a business premises on River Drive, Inchinnan.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised two appliances and an environmental protection unit to the scene.
“There were no casualties.
"Crews left the scene at 12.54pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
