St Mirren manager Alan Stubbs is still trying to add physicality to his team after bringing in Alfie Jones from Southampton.
The 6ft-plus midfielder, who can also play in defence, signed on a season-long loan deal yesterday as Stubbs aims to add power to the Ladbrokes Premiership newcomers.
Saints face Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup on Saturday and will be looking to show they have improved since a 4-1 cup defeat at Pittodrie in January, when the physical difference between the teams was noted.

Stubbs admits the issue is in his mind as he looks to spend some of the windfall received from former Buddies midfielder John McGinn's move from Hibernian to Aston Villa.
He said: "I think it's something that is ongoing. We are aware of it and we are trying to make us stronger in that department but we have still got just over two weeks of the window left and we are still looking to strengthen the squad.
"I still think there will be players coming in. There may be a couple leaving as well. While the window is still open, in football anything is possible."
