ST MIRREN have completed the loan signing of Ryan Edwards from Hearts.

Previously with relegated Partick Thistle to the Scottish Championship at the end of last season, he signed with the Tynecastle club in the summer on a two year contract.

Having barely featured for Hearts the Edwards has been allowed to join the Buddies on a deal until the end of the season.

But, The Gazette believes there will be no further business through the door on transfer deadline day.

Edwards who has been capped by his country at under 23 level won’t feature against his parent club tomorrow as Saints head to the capital.

The 24-year-old midfielder who has also played Perth Glory and Reading becomes the 12th new signing in the door at the Simple Digital Arena this summer.
