Paisley Pirates have received a welcome boost to their preparations ahead of this season’s home debut against North Ayrshire Wild on Sunday October 14.
ProLife Fitness Centre, a long term sponsor of the club, have put their facilities at the disposal of the players as they attempt to reach maximum fitness and the club were quick to take their partners up on the offer, with several sessions arranged in advance of the crunch opener which will feature the new regular face off time of 5.00pm.
Head of Off-Ice Operations, Jackie Turley, said: “We were delighted to get the offer from Lynne and her staff to come in, and allow us to work on specific aspects of fitness, which at this early stage of the season is very important to us. The boys are already members of the gym as part of our sponsorship deal, and pop in regularly to top up their fitness levels, but this additional opportunity allows us to attend as a group and we’ll use this chance both to work on general fitness and attend a spin class to get everything in perfect working order.
“Matches can be won in the last few minutes in tight affairs due to one team having that extra little bit of energy left in the tank, and this offer from ProLife certainly ensures that we won’t be lacking in that respect. Their offer illustrates why their sponsorship is so important to us and we certainly aim to repay that support with a full 60 minute performance against the Wild.”
