ST MIRREN have confirmed defender Alfie Jones has returned to Southampton following his loan spell.
The 21-year-old was brought to the club in the summer by former boss Alan Stubbs and has gone on to play 15 times for the Paisley side.

He has been one of the few success stories of the the Saints' summer recruitment campaign, with the likes of Matty Willock, Nicolai Brock-Madsen, and Cole Kpekawa having their spells at the Simple Digital Arena cut short prematurely as part of Oran Kearney's clearout.

A St Mirren statement read on their website: "We would like to thank Alfie for his contributions in his time at Saints and wish him all the best in his future career."
