RYAN Edwards has left St Mirren to return to his parent club Hearts as he followed Alfie Jones in departing the Paisley side today.
The midfielder signed on loan from Tyncastle in the Autumn and has gone onto make 14 appearances for the Buddies.
The 25-year-old Australian was one of the last signings of the ill-fated Alan Stubbs reign and he follows the likes of Jones - who has gone back to Southampton - Matty Willock - Manchester United - and Nicolai Brock Madsen - Birmingham - in seeing their spells with the Premiership ended prematurely.
Boss Oran Kearney has already underlined his desire to overhaul the squad as the Saints attempt to stay in the Premiership.
A St Mirren spokesperson said: "The club would like to thank Ryan for all his efforts while at St Mirren Football Club and wish him all the best for the future."
