A GROUP of St Mirren supporters received the red carpet treatment as they were welcomed by English giants Sunderland.
The Buddies travelled down to the North East side to catch a glimpse of former St Mirren boss Jack Ross' League One side.
In the top of the table clash, the Black Cats were held to a 1-1 draw with Luton Town as 37,791 packed into ther Stadium of Light.
And for the Buddies of the Cockles Wilson Supporters Club, it was a cracking day in Wearside despite the draw.

They were even given a shout out by the official Sunderland AFC Twitter account, which wrote: "Great to welcome a number of @saintmirrenfc fans to the @StadiumOfLight for today's big match!"

Elsewhere, Saints boss Oran Kearney moved to strengthen his St Mirren side as he brought in Czech goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky.

The 28-year-old arrives from Slovan Liberec and has signed a deal until June 2020.

He joined Romanian defender Mihai Popescu and Greg Tansey in making the switch to the Paisley side during the winter break.
