HEAD coach Pete Russell has named a 28-man squad for Great Britain’s training camp next month with two of his Glasgow Clan stars included in the roster.
Forward Craig Peacock will return to the Team GB set up, while teammate Brendan Connolly is named in a GB squad for the first time.
Both Peacock, 30, and Connolly, 33, have played key roles in Russell’s hugely successful first season with the Clan with Connolly named both the Official Supporters Club’s Player of the Year and Clan’s MVP.

Great Britain play Italy in the Coventry Skydome on Friday, April 19 at 7.30pm before lining up against Hungary at Planet Ice Milton Keynes on Sunday, April 21 at 2pm.
The roster will be cut to 25 for back-to-back games against Kontinental Hockey League side Torpedo with the final 25 going on to represent GB at the World Championship in Slovakia in May.
Russell said: “This has been the toughest group to select to date. There is a high amount of competition in all areas.

“Experience is vital and has high importance. But, we as coaches, must always look at guys who are performing well and who we believe can add to the level.
“In the selection process we had a lot of guys competing in the same positions, so in many ways that’s even tougher but we believe and trust in our selections in the 28.
“The 28 will become the 25 and the players will decide that for us during the pre-tournament preparations.”
