St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin has confirmed that Kyle McAllister will re-join the Saints on a permanent deal while Calum Waters has signed on a season-long loan deal from Kilmarnock.

McAllister left for Derby County back in 2017 before returning to Paisley on loan under Oran Kearney in January.

The Saints academy graduate made 14 appearances under Kearney and scored twice as he played a pivotal role in helping St Mirren secure their top-flight status at the end of last season.

The Scotland under-21 international, who was in the final year of his Derby contract after an injury-ravaged two years at Pride Park, agreed to a three-year deal.

Killie youngster Waters, meanwhile, arrives at the Simple Digital Arena on a year-long loan deal and knows Goodwin well having previously played under him at Alloa in 2017, making 36 appearances for the Wasps.
