Renfrew Ladies FC has received a cash boost of £200 to kick off the new season.
The team, who train at Renfrew Juniors ground at Argyle Avenue, plans to use the money donated by Bellway Homes, to help with their running costs.
The club has made a good start to the season with several wins and one of their new players, Becky Downs, being selected for the League’s August Championship Team of the Month.
Marion Baird, club volunteer and mum of the current team captain Emma Baird, said: "We really appreciate Bellway’s donation as it’s an ongoing struggle to keep up with costs and we are reliant on the generosity of businesses and supporters."
Pauline Coates, sales director at Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland West), said: “The team have a fantastic inclusive ethos where girls can join and play in Under 8s right up until they turn senior which is great to see.
“We’re delighted to have been able to provide some support and wish them all the best in the current season.”
