A hat-trick hero led the way as Paisley Pirates secured a dominant victory on home ice.
Jamie Crawford’s three-goal performance helped the Pirates to a 6-1 win over the Kirkcaldy Kestrels at Braehead Arena in their second Scottish National League (SNL) fixture of the 2024/25 season.
Head coach Ian Turley said: “Tonight’s performance was exactly what we’ve been working toward.
“Every player bought in, every line contributed and the energy from the fans lifted the team.
“To see a young player like Jamie Whitelaw get his first goal was fantastic, and Jamie Crawford showed his class with a hat-trick performance.
“It’s a brilliant way to build momentum at this stage of the season.”

Crawford was named man of the match for his clinical finishing and high work rate.
The game also featured a milestone moment for Whitelaw, who scored his first goal for the club.
Additional goals came from Marcus Murdoch and Ryan Parkin.
The victory keeps the Paisley Pirates’ perfect start to the season intact, with two wins from two games.
The Pirates will look to continue their strong form when they host the Aberdeen Lynx at Braehead Arena on Saturday, September 20.
Face-off is at 1pm, with doors opening at 12.15pm.

With their latest win, the Pirates currently sit second in the SNL league table, just behind the Whitley Bay Warriors.
The club will aim to maintain its early momentum and climb to the top of the standings as the season progresses.
