Woman's death is "not suspicious"

THERE are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 79 year-old woman in Bellsmyre, say Police.

The body of the elderly woman, who has not been named, was discovered at a property in Bellsmyre Avenue on Thursday.

The Reporter understands that police officers made the grim discovery at around 1.40pm.

But update from Police Scotland this evening said there are "no suspicious circumstances" surrounding the woman's death.

Police are meanwhile, probing the death of a 55 year-old man, found on Sunday afternoon within an address in Redburn, Bonhill.

At around 4.40pm, the man's body was discovered.

Police confirmed that inquiries are ongoing to ascertain the circumstances of the man's death.
