RENFREWSHIRE and East Renfrewshire cricket lovers are invited to nominate their club for the nation’s greatest amateur group.

Cricket enthusiasts are being invited to celebrate the start of the season by nominating their local club for an exciting new award, designed to showcase exactly what makes amateur cricket great.

Bowled Over is inviting Scottish cricketers, enthusiasts and cricket club employees to showcase what makes them proud of their club, and the sport itself.

The competition is open to any UK amateur cricket club.

Nominators could win £300 to spend on sporting equipment site Morrant.com, while the club in question will receive a commemorative plaque.

Entries must be received before April 4, with shortlisting based on a range of criteria, including a club’s setting or community activities.

Finalists will then be selected by a public vote – giving cricket fans the chance to support their club – and then a panel of judges.

Nominations can be made by submitting a photo or video of the club to BusinessInsuranceFor.com/Bowled-Over and writing, in up to 100 words, what makes the club great.
