Funbox: The Underwater Adventure

IT'S time to look out those armbands and dive into Paisley for Funbox; the Underwater Adventure.

Former Singing Kettle trio Kevin MacLeod, Gary Coupland and Anya Scott-Rodgers will be sweeping back to Paisley with their brand new show for 2017.

Since their first performance in 2015, they have starred in eight shows, six DVDs, five CDs and 24 costumes and are now set to embark on their ninth tour in two years.

Audiences across the country and beyond became fans of The Singing Kettle and the gang admit they were having far too much fun working together and entertaining families to say goodbye.

Funbox offers the same traditional songs and silliness known and loved by many but with their own brand of humour with a modern twist.

Underwater Adventure is the "perfect swimalong singalong" for kids of all ages from nought to ninety.

Expect favourites like When the Boat Comes In; The World Must be Coming Tae an End and Hole at the Bottom of the Sea as well as brand new songs.

Youngsters can dress up for the sea and join in the fun at Paisley Town Hall on Sunday, May 14 from 1pm and 3.30pm.

Tickets are available from the Box Office on 0300 300 1210, visiting www.renfrewshireleisure.com or Ticketmaster.

Feline good

VOLUNTEERS at Johnstone Cat Rescue are appealing for funds to keep their services running.

This worthy cause helps to reduce the vast number of stray cats in Renfrewshire.

A few dedicated volunteers make up the group, who work seven days per week, throughout the year, to rescue and rehome as many cats as possible.

They have to accommodate these cats, feed them and provide necessary equipment.

Johnstone Cat Rescue receives no funding from the government or any other agency and relies totally on the goodwill of the public to keep going.
