A FORMER serviceman is due to go on trial next month accused of carrying out a sex attack on a woman in a Paisley nightclub.

Kenneth Lang, of Clydeview, Paisley, is alleged to have groped the woman at Vienna’s, in New Street.

The 56-year-old denies repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of the woman, who can’t be named for legal reasons, in the popular nightspot on December 2 last year.

Lang is charged with breaking Section 3 of the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 and it previously emerged preparations in the case had stalled because he had been the victim of an assault and his injuries meant he was not able to take part in an identification parade.

At a pre-trial hearing at Paisley Sheriff Court last week, the case against Lang, who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of serving his country, was continued until next month.
