Rain could not dampen spirits in Renfrewshire on Saturday, when a fun day celebrating Renfrewshire’s carers was a big success.

A balloon race and bouncy castles and slides, as well as facepainting and various other stalls, were organised for Renfrewshire Carers Centre’s fundraising event.

Despite a slightly lower turnout than last year, organisers said they were delighted with how the day panned out.

Development manager Christine Melville said: “The whole day went very well, despite the weather.

“We still managed to make some money and that will come straight into the centre to help us provide services.

“A huge ‘thank you’ is due to all of our supporters, as well as Morissons and to everyone who donated prizes for Saturday.”
