THE loved ones of a Renfrew man who went missing on a Spanish holiday four weeks ago have issued an update.

Gary Shearer arrived in Puerto del Carmen, in Lanzarote, on his own on March 16.

The last sighting of the 53-year-old was in the early hours of the next morning, when he was spotted on CCTV lying unconscious in a shop doorway next to Bar 67.

On Wednesday night, Gary's loved ones issued a fresh appeal for help on social media as fears grow about his wellbeing.

The post on the 'Find Gary Shearer' Facebook page states: "Hi everyone, just a little update to say that despite all possible sightings/leads people have given us, none of these have been Gary or have led to any information regarding Gary.

"We still have absolutely no idea where he could be.

"Thanks again from all of the family for all of the support, we won't stop until we find Gary.
