Staff at a Renfrewshire charity have racked up an impressive 30 million steps as part of a walking challenge.

Employees at Kibble have collectively walked the distance from Paisley to Darwin, in Australia, and back, over the course of four weeks.

Scotland's Step Count Challenge provided an opportunity for staff to work in teams to raise their steps, whilst improving their general fitness and wellbeing.

A total of 28 teams were formed throughout Paisley-based Kibble, with employees from all areas of the charity stepping up to the challenge.

The initiative also encouraged staff to favour walking to work or local destinations, rather than taking the car, in an effort to reduce their carbon footprint.

Jim Gillespie, CEO of Kibble, said: "The Step Count Challenge was a phenomenal success, with 28 teams signing up across all areas of Kibble.

"It encouraged staff to enjoy the outdoors and spend time with colleagues, friends and families, whether that was around the local area, hill or at the gym.

"As well as the physical health benefits, challenges like these are invaluable for staff wellbeing and improved mental health.

"Once the blisters have healed, we'll definitely be signing up for the next challenge."
