1. Inspired by the popular Channel 4 television programme, a ‘Come Dine’ initiative was launched at Cochrane Castle Primary. Every second Friday, three children were selected to enjoy a special three-course lunch of their choice as a reward for their hard work and good behaviour.

2. Generous schoolboy Logan McKenzie left tots starry-eyed with delight after donating a rocket playhouse worth £1,600 to Weans World Nursery. The Cochrane Castle Primary pupil won the incredible prize after entering a competition run by Braehead Xscape.

3. Big-hearted members of Renfrew's ABC childminder’s group took part in a Wellie Waddle and helped raise almost £500 for charity.

4. Scott Parrack of Renfrew, was among 2,000 participants to complete the Great Scottish Swim at Loch Lomond.

5. Seonaidh Morrison, of Bishopton, applied his talents to help improve the lives of others by playing his bagpipes all the way up a Munro to raise money for charity.

6. During a series of visits throughout Renfrewshire, The Princess Royal paid a special visit to Peak Scientific to officially open Cherry Tree House. Following a considerable extension to expand the Head Office in Inchinnan, owners Robin and June MacGeachy were delighted to meet with Her Royal Highness and showcase the company’s latest expansion.
