UPDATE: Renfrewshire Council has confirmed Riverbrae School will open as normal tomorrow.

A Linwood school was forced to close today following a power outage.
Lessons at Riverbrae School, in Middleton Road, were abandoned earlier as a result of the electrical fault.
According to the Scottish Power website, a power outage affected homes and businesses in the PA3 postcode area, with the problem first reported at 8.49am today.

A Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: "Following a Scottish Power outage in the Linwood area, Riverbrae School has had to close early today.
"The school has contacted all parents and carers and will be confirming with them directly if the school is able to open as normal tomorrow."
