1. Kilmacolm teenager John Bell, who played Bain in the film The Desolation of Smaug, told of the thrill of working with legendary director Peter Jackson.
2. Youngsters at Johnstone High were celebrating after achieving a Language Flag Award sponsored by British Airways.
3. Renfrewshire Leisure started giving discounts on membership of their fitness suites and waiving the normal £25 joining fee to all serving members of the UK's Armed Forces.
4. Pro and anti-independence activists descended on Johnstone to try and influence local residents ahead of the September 2024 referendum.
5. Pupils at St David's and Cochrane Castle Primary, in Johnstone, celebrating the school's 50th anniversary by taking part in a series of musical performances and dance routines.
6. Dedicated nurse Kathy Taylor, who was part of the Diabetic Centre team at Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital, won the Nursing category in the Chairman's Awards.
